Welcome to Ayadi by Widad (“Ayadi”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website, ayadibywidad.ae, and any purchases made through our website.

By accessing our website, placing an order or using our services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a purchase.

1. About Ayadi

Ayadi by Widad is a UAE-based social enterprise and lifestyle brand that celebrates and preserves Palestinian heritage through contemporary design and artisan craftsmanship.

Our collections include fashion, accessories, home and lifestyle pieces, gifting products and other artisan-made items. Many of our pieces are created in collaboration with women artisans and incorporate traditional techniques including Palestinian Tatreez, embroidery, crochet and other forms of hand craftsmanship.

2. Use of Our Website

By using this website, you confirm that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement or are using the website with the consent of a parent or legal guardian where required.

You agree not to use our website or products for any unlawful, fraudulent or unauthorised purpose.

You must not attempt to interfere with the operation, security or functionality of the website or misuse any content belonging to Ayadi.

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to the website where we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated.

3. Our Products

We make every reasonable effort to describe and display our products accurately, including their colours, materials, dimensions, designs and features.

However, colours may appear slightly differently depending on your screen, device and display settings.

Many Ayadi products are handmade or incorporate handcrafted elements. This means that no two pieces may be completely identical.

Slight variations in:

  • Embroidery and stitching;

  • Tatreez patterns;

  • Pattern placement;

  • Crochet and handwork;

  • Colour and thread tone;

  • Texture;

  • Dimensions; and

  • Handmade finishing

may naturally occur.

These variations reflect the individual craftsmanship behind each piece and are part of the character and uniqueness of handmade products. Reasonable handmade variations are not considered defects.

This does not affect your statutory rights where a product is genuinely defective, damaged, incorrectly supplied or materially different from its description.

4. Product Availability

All products are subject to availability.

Some Ayadi collections are produced in small quantities, individually handcrafted, made to order or created as limited editions.

An item appearing on our website does not guarantee continued availability.

In the unlikely event that an item becomes unavailable after you have placed an order, we will contact you and offer an appropriate alternative, store credit or refund for the unavailable item, as applicable.

5. Orders

When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the selected products.

You are responsible for ensuring that all information submitted with your order—including your name, contact details, delivery address, sizing and customisation instructions—is accurate.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including in cases of:

  • Product unavailability;

  • Incorrect pricing or product information;

  • Suspected fraud or unauthorised transactions;

  • Payment failure;

  • Delivery restrictions; or

  • Circumstances outside our reasonable control.

If we cancel an order after payment has been successfully received, any amount due back to you will be returned through the appropriate payment method.

6. Pricing & Payment

Prices displayed on our website are shown in the currency indicated at checkout.

Applicable taxes, delivery charges or other charges will be displayed where required before you complete your purchase.

For international orders, customs duties, import taxes and other local charges may apply. Unless expressly stated otherwise, these charges are the customer's responsibility.

Payment must be successfully completed before an order can be processed.

We reserve the right to correct genuine pricing or typographical errors. If an error affects an order you have already placed, we will contact you before proceeding where appropriate.

7. Returns, Exchanges & Refunds

Due to the handmade nature of many of our products and our small-production model, all sales are final and we do not offer refunds for change of mind.

For eligible fashion items, size exchanges may be requested within 7 days of receiving your order, subject to product availability and the conditions set out in our Returns & Exchanges Policy.

Items must be unworn, unused, unwashed, in their original condition and accompanied by their original tags and packaging to qualify for an exchange.

Personalised, customised and made-to-order products cannot be returned or exchanged for change of mind once production has begun.

If a product arrives damaged, defective, incomplete, incorrectly supplied or materially different from its description, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.

Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under applicable UAE law.

8. Customised & Made-to-Order Products

Certain Ayadi products may be personalised, customised or produced specifically for you.

You are responsible for carefully checking all information supplied for customised orders, including names, initials, measurements, sizing, colours, quantities, designs and other specifications.

Once production has commenced, customised or made-to-order products generally cannot be changed, cancelled, returned or exchanged for change of mind.

Production and delivery timelines for customised products may differ from those of ready-made products and will be communicated where applicable.

Your statutory rights relating to genuinely defective, damaged or incorrectly supplied products remain unaffected.

9. Corporate & Bespoke Gifting

Ayadi may offer bespoke products, corporate gifting, collaborations and customised bulk orders.

These projects may be subject to separate quotations, specifications, production timelines, payment schedules, minimum quantities and written terms agreed between Ayadi and the customer.

Where separate written commercial terms have been agreed for a corporate or bespoke order, those terms will take precedence over these general Terms & Conditions to the extent of any inconsistency.

Samples, prototypes and handmade production pieces may contain reasonable variations due to materials and artisan production techniques.

10. Shipping & Delivery

Delivery estimates displayed or communicated by Ayadi are provided in good faith but are estimates unless expressly agreed otherwise.

Handmade, made-to-order and customised products may require additional production time.

Ayadi is not responsible for delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including courier delays, customs procedures, adverse weather, transport disruption or other events beyond our control.

Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate delivery information.

Additional delivery charges resulting from an incorrect or incomplete address provided by the customer may be charged to the customer where permitted.

International customers may also be responsible for customs duties, taxes and import charges imposed by the destination country.

11. Intellectual Property

All content appearing on the Ayadi website—including our brand name, logos, product designs, original artwork, photographs, graphics, text, videos, packaging concepts and other creative material—is owned by, licensed to or used with permission by Ayadi, unless otherwise stated.

You may not reproduce, copy, commercially exploit, distribute, modify or use Ayadi's proprietary content without prior written permission.

We deeply respect the cultural heritage from which our work draws inspiration. Traditional Palestinian Tatreez motifs and cultural expressions have histories and meanings that extend beyond Ayadi.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to claim exclusive ownership by Ayadi over Palestinian cultural heritage, traditional Tatreez as a cultural practice, or traditional motifs that belong to that broader heritage.

Our intellectual-property claims relate to Ayadi's own original designs, creative interpretations, compositions, photography, branding, content and other protectable creative work.

12. Artisan Stories & Impact Content

Ayadi may share information, photographs, videos and stories about the artisans and communities with whom we collaborate.

We aim to present these stories respectfully and accurately and to protect the dignity and privacy of the people represented.

Such material may not be copied, reproduced, commercially exploited or used out of context without appropriate permission.

Our social-impact communications are intended to describe Ayadi's business model, collaborations and community impact transparently. Specific artisan participation, production locations and programmes may evolve over time.

13. Promotions & Discount Codes

From time to time, Ayadi may offer promotional codes, discounts or special offers.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Promotional codes cannot be exchanged for cash;

  • Promotions cannot be combined with other offers;

  • Promotions may have an expiry date;

  • Certain products or collections may be excluded; and

  • Ayadi may withdraw or amend a promotion where reasonably necessary.

Specific promotional terms displayed with an offer will apply in addition to these Terms.

14. Gift Cards & Store Credit

Where Ayadi offers gift cards or store credit, they may be used toward eligible purchases subject to any conditions communicated at the time of issue.

Gift cards and store credit are not redeemable for cash except where required by applicable law.

15. Third-Party Services

Our website may use third-party providers to support services such as website hosting, payments, delivery, analytics and other e-commerce functionality.

Ayadi's online store is operated using Shopify technology.

Your use of certain third-party services may also be subject to the relevant provider's terms and privacy practices.

16. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us.

We collect and process personal information in connection with orders, payments, delivery, customer communication and use of our website in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection requirements.

17. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Ayadi will not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from the use of our website or products where such liability may lawfully be excluded.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or restricted, including any mandatory rights available to consumers under applicable UAE law.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions periodically to reflect changes to our business, website, services or applicable legal requirements.

The latest version will be published on this page with the date of the most recent update.

The Terms applicable to your transaction will generally be those in effect when your order is placed, subject to applicable law.

19. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the applicable laws of the United Arab Emirates and the Emirate of Dubai, without limiting any mandatory consumer protections that may apply.

Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of the United Arab Emirates, as applicable.
